The Aviation Industry Makes a Difference!

There is strength in numbers, and the local aviation companies are proving it! Six of Mirabel’s aviation leaders: AIRBUS, AVIANOR, BELL TEXTRON CANADA, BOMBARDIER, L3HARRIS and MHI RJ have joined forces by collectively contributing $60,000 to the project to purchase a second magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machine, at the heart of the major fundraising campaign of the Fondation de l’Hôpital régional de Saint-Jérôme, which is in full swing.

The Executive Director of the Foundation, Chantale Fortin, is delighted with this initiative, which once again demonstrates the importance of the commitment and solidarity of local partners in this campaign. “The health of the residents of Laurentians is at the heart of our mission. The acquisition of a second MRI machine represents a major investment. We need to raise $2 million to purchase this state-of-the-art equipment, which will be located in a new service pavilion near the Saint-Jérôme Regional Hospital,” added Ms. Fortin.

“Through our financial contribution and our joint participation in this project, we recognize the distinctive and essential role of the Hospital Foundation, the largest hospital foundation in the Laurentians. In uniting together to support this campaign, we are adding value HERE and we are proud to do so. We sincerely hope that our support will inspire other companies and institutions in the region to mobilize and give to this project, which is so vital to the Saint-Jérôme Regional Hospital,” said Simon Bélanger, Chief Operating Officer – Aeronautics and Ground Transportation Division of the Drakkar Group and member of the Foundation’s Board of Directors.

In recognition of this support, a poster campaign entitled “L’aéronautique unie pour redonner dans les Laurentides” (Aeronautics united to give back to the Laurentians) will be deployed from October 19 to November 1 on a billboard along Highway 15.
