Since its inception in 1986, the Foundation has contributed more than $23 million. The Foundation is always there, whether for a major project, to optimize care in CHSLDs or other human endeavours.

The Foundation supports all medical specialties as well as all services. Its choices are directly focused on the priority of the projects to be supported. We are privileged to receive your donations, which is why our team and board of directors make it their duty to invest your donation with care and consideration.

2021 EQUIPMENT FOR COVID PATIENTS,
A $75,000 INVESTMENT

Impacts

Purchase of various equipment to support medical staff and provide the best care for COVID patients.

2020-2021 PURCHASE OF A NEW MRI MACHINE
A $2M INVESTMENT

Impacts

Acquisition of an additional machine, located in a new service pavilion near the Saint-Jérôme Regional Hospital.

2020 INNOVATION IN INTENSIVE CARE
A $150,000 INVESTMENT

Impacts

  • Addition of an MRI-compatible cardiac monitor.
  • Addition of a CVVH machine – venovenous hemofiltration.
  • Optimizes support for critically ill patients.

2018 NEW SERVICE, BARIATRIC SURGERY
A $200,000 INVESTMENT

Impacts

  • Establishment of a new regional service.
  • Capacity for 300 surgeries annually, avoiding the need to direct patients to Montreal.

2017 2ND CT SCANNER
A $2M investment

Impacts

  • 25,000 more examinations per year.
  • Previously, appointments were scheduled 24 hours a day. Now, appointments are offered at more normal hours.
  • Examination delays reduced from 6 months to 0-3 months.

2017 TO 2019 PROSTATE CANCER PREVENTION
A $400,000 INVESTMENT

Impacts

  • Upgrading of various equipment for the urology department.
  • Application of less invasive medical techniques, reducing hospitalization periods.

2017 TO 2019 OPENING OF THE MOTHER-CHILD CENTER
A $1,5M INVESTMENT

Impacts

  • Opening of the pavilion for pediatric follow-ups, post-hospital care.
  • Opening of a high-risk pregnancy clinic (GARE).
  • Addition of a 6th delivery room to the birthing unit.

Small technological equipments (Value less than $25,000)

Among our funded equipment, there are many devices and pieces of furniture used daily by numerous caregivers, without which the functioning of our care units would be disrupted. The Foundation is therefore called upon to finance these additional small items, such as various monitors, examination tables, geriatric chairs, ultrasound machines, tourniquets, secure carts, pulse oximeters, and breast pumps, to name just a few.

  • Enhances the equipment pool to ensure necessary follow-ups at home.
  • Prevents the need for seniors and people with fragile health to travel.
  • Often helps avoid hospitalization and ensures autonomy.

2019 VARIOUS SMALL EQUIPMENT
A $245,000 INVESTMENT

Impacts

  • Anesthesia, respiratory therapy, operating room.
  • Pulmonology clinic: oxygen analyzer & CO2 monitor.
  • Hemato-oncology clinic: treatment chairs and a blanket warmer.
  • Birth unit – specialized nursery: addition of comfortable and rocking chairs, allowing a parent to stay with their newborn and even sleep there during this critical stage.

2018 VARIOUS SMALL EQUIPMENT
A $590,000 investment

Impacts

  • Addiction rehabilitation center: portable electrocardiogram.
  • Hemato-oncology clinic: electric examination table facilitating the installation of patients weakened by illness.
  • Nephrology: various equipment for the kidney dialysis clinic.
  • Wound care: negative pressure therapy device & wound treatment device.
  • Birth unit: electric delivery bed & gynecological stretcher.
  • Emergency & post-operative care floors, and units dedicated to cases requiring isolation: several fixed blood pressure monitors, facilitating the cleaning of fixed devices and the management of isolated cases.
  • Equipping the treating teams ensures smoother service and limits delays caused by sharing equipment among professionals.
  •  Enhancing the comfort of patients and their companions is also an integral part of a service focused on humanity!

Human Projects

The Foundation supports a wide range of human projects that impact the well-being of people. These projects aim to support users and teams working in hospital settings, mental health, long-term care facilities (CHSLDs), youth centers, and addiction rehabilitation centers.

  • Art therapy program for adults, seniors, and youth.
  • Support for mental health programs in CHSLDs and rehabilitation centers.

2020 VARIOUS PROJECTS,

  • CHSLDs: various programs such as animal therapy, music therapy, seasonal themed celebrations, etc.
  • Cancer: relaxation workshops through yoga.
  • Youth center: addition of a multi-sensory room.
  • CLSC: art therapy program for young people.

2018 TO 2020 "LES IMPATIENTS"
A $60,000 INVESTMENT

Impacts

  • Art therapy workshops for outpatient adults, followed by the psychiatry team.
  • Helps break the barriers of isolation.

2017 YOUTH, ANXIETY AND STRESS MANAGEMENT PROGRAM
A $100,000 investment

Impacts

  • Workshops offered at the CLSC: “Destress & Progress” and “InVivo”.
  • Designed for young people struggling with anxiety issues.
  • Helps them understand their situation better and manage anxiety and stress.
  • Also provided training for staff at the CLSC and in schools.
