Pedaling for the Cause

The money raised during the event will be used to finance the purchase of an additional cardiac ultrasound machine for the Saint-Jérôme Regional Hospital. A cardiac ultrasound machine allows for the examination of heart function, valves, and the pericardium. It also helps monitor hypertension, heart murmurs, and post-infarction follow-ups. The procedure is non-invasive, quick, and painless.

Acquiring an additional machine will undoubtedly bring many benefits, such as:

- Performing approximately 2,300 more exams per year.
- Monitoring not only hospitalized patients but also the 3,215 outpatients on the waiting list at Saint-Jérôme Hospital.
- Consequently, reducing the waiting time for an appointment.
